Description of the module: Introduction to empirical and experimental research methods
As part of the module, students are involved in small groups in the planning, execution, evaluation, and presentation of empirical-experimental research in psychology. The presentation of the research results takes place at a poster conference at the end of each semester.
Outline for this semester
In this semester, we will explore social approach and avoidance behavior in a naturalistic way (“in the field”). To investigate how people react and adapt to others’ behavior, we will apply a social conditioning procedure and use a mobile eye-tracker and other devices to measure attentional and autonomic reactions.
